XP takes long time at login

In Win XP, after I enter my password at the login screen, my computer
stays on the login screen for a few minutes before it shows the
desktop. The login music plays, but the computer waits awhile before
switching over to the desktop. It sounds like windows is busy starting
all my startup programs, but when it switches to the desktop,
everything still hasn't loaded. I'm not sure if this is a driver issue,
a startup program or something going haywire with the services. At
least those are the only things i can think of. The thing is, I
haven't installed any new programs, drivers, or hardware, so I am at a
loss... I have Norton's GoBack and i keep having to revert my computer
to a time when the login was normal. That's getting pretty old...
Anyone have suggestions?

It's just a hunch, after using GoBack, open Regedit and save your Registry.

* Reboot > click your just saved Registry file > Reboot

Good Luck,
Drew
