XP login on NT4 network

I would like to know if it was possible to setup a login
system in XP similar to the one used in windows 98. By
that i mean the user id and password is retrieved from the
server.
Currently our server uses Window NT 4 with a few
workstations operated by XP and in order for them to logon
to the server they would have to go into my computer then
double click the previously mapped drive and after that a
window would appear asking for the userid and password. It
would be nice if there was a way to get this login window
straight after the machine as finished booting up.

XP Professional = Yes, you can log onto an NT4 domain
XP Hpme = No. Domain joins are not possible with Home. Professional is required.
