XP Login is givng drive map errors.

When logging into our domain, the user gets a CMD window that stays open.
Inside of it is a message similar to this: "There are open files and/or
incomplete directory searches pending on the connection to 'driveletter' Is
it ok to force them closed?(y/n) [N]."

If I say No, the login completes but no mapped drives. Even after a reboot.

If I say Yes, the login completes but no drives are mapped. If I reboot
immediately, the drive maps are there.

This error tends to come back randomly. What is causing this and how do I
make it go away?

The user box is running XP SP2 and the domain is a Win2K SP4. Any help is
appreciated.

What is in your login script?

Disconnect any persistent mapped drives before re-mapping. For example,
modify your logon script to read like this example:

net use p: /d
net use p: \\servername\sharename /persistent:yes
