My computer came with ME installed on the hard drive.
( I have no ME install cd )
I bought the xp upgrade disk.
I bought partition magic; so I could have 2 operating
systems.
during the setup for this operation; it asks for an
installation disk.
The Xp disk won't install because I need proof that I
have ME installed.
I need the xp version that installs from scratch.
and I have the version that installs from ME.
what can I do? with out buying xp for a second time?

Take the CD back and get a Full Version of Windows XP for it (somewhat
more expensive) if you really want to keep Windows ME.
