XP 'Forgets' Folder customizations

B

I have the latest Windows XP Powertools installed and one of the features
that I like of that is the fact that I can set the number of folders XP
remembers the customizations for. Well I have my limit set at 50,000
folders, but recently after installing XP it's been forgetting the folder
customizations. For example my recycle bin is set to use the detailed view
so i can accurately scan data before deleting it. Well now everytime after
I reboot or even let the computer set for several minutes, the recycle bin
(and other folders too) reset to the standard system default. Is there
anyway to figure otu what in the world is going on and fix it??

Bradley,

First, the XP TweakUI has a bug ["folder views" feature]. It does not modify the correct registrt key. Secondly, 50000 is not an accepted value. Maximum you can set is 8000. Microsoft had tested it with 10000 and due to some problems, they have set 8000 as the maximum limit.

Solution: Increase Folder View Options Limit: (Line 2):
