i believe i might know what is causing the problem. My mother tried to load
a new wireless mouse on her system and she did not like it and returned.
Then bought and installed a new wired mouse and thats when the problems
started. what happens is sometimes (even in safe mode) a message will show
that OS is missing and then have to reboot or othertimes when I do get in XP
(even in safemode), it freezes up on me. I believe once i can get in, I need
to delete mouse in control panel, then plug mouse back in. I think the
puter(it,s a laptop) is still trying to find both the wireless and the wired
mouse at same time and conflicting. Any suggestions would be appreciated,
