I just downloaded and installed the recommended Windows XP upgrades and after
rebooting the pc, the mouse started misbehaving. it moves a bit but cannot be
controlled. Mouse is a wireless mouse Logitech. I tried a wired mouse
(rebooted, etc) but the mouse has the same problem. Other partition has XP64
and the mouse works OK if I use XP64.
I need help! installing the upgrades render my PC useless!!
I am asking this ? from another PC.
Your assitance will be highly appreciated.

What solved the problem was rebooting, pressing F8 and loading the last
configuration that worked. I do not know if the recent upgrade of the
security in XP was cancelled. At list the PC works.
I is quite scary to install the updates.

You could try re installing the updates one at a time to see which one is
the culprit, or you could try removing the mouse and driver through device
manager, and then re-installing them.
