XP Downloading Same update repeatedly

Update, Windows XP KB 828741 keeps repeatedly downloading on auto download
and Installs on the system successfully even when I go to the update site
this Critical update still appears as if I did not have it on my computer,
if I view the download history I have KB 828741 as successfully installed
many times.

Does anyone have any advice for me, if so it would be much appreciated. Paul

Prevent Windows Update from prompting you to install a Hotfix
you know is already installed:

I had the same problem. I went to add-remove programs and deleted the update in question and waited until the new update showed up to be d/l'ed and haven't had a problem since.
