Windows automatic update won't quit

A few days ago windows update began showing an automatic security
update was required. As usual I said for it to go ahead. It was
successful, then it repeated. Then it repeated. Then it repeated. So
I
tried rebooting, same thing happenned. On the manual side it
indicated
the critical update was for Windows Live Toolbar KB 926295 (which is
installed but I don't use). I haven't found anything on the net so
far, hence this post.

My details:
Operating system Windows XP SP2
Update service set to update automatically
I have administrator rights
IE 7.0.5730.11

Thanks for the help!
