Yeah - a bit more information could help.

You are doing a CLEAN installation of Windows XP on this PC and you know
that all hardware is compatable with the Windows XP operating system?

Have you tried taking out one of your sticks of RAM? A lot of troubles with
XP center around bad hardware - specifically memory.

You are not "Pressing Any Key to Boot from CD..." every time are you? You
HAVE to let it continue the process, you only do the CD thing once.

xp installed/worked on this system with my old hard
drive.. it got a virus or something and just kept error
messaging and rebooting.. figured new hard drive was
cheap fix.. same hardware config as before so assuming
all compatable.. am letting it reboot itself.. not
presing any key to boot from CD.. thanks for advice.. i
am going to remove xtra memory and all unnecessary pci
cards just in case.. VickiB
