XP disk cleanup & Nortons 2004 Pro

Whenever I run disk-cleanup in XP & delete the temp files
& recycle bin I'm unable to perform a disk check. This
has only happened since installing Nortons Anti-virus Pro
2004. Any idea what the conflict might be?

there is an issue with n2004 and backup. I don't know if it causes
this issue also.
check symsntec site for the fix.
