XP datatype?

hey guys, i found this program that burns a 1:1 copy of
data disks that are copywrited, now i'm not stealign i'm
backing up my games and windows xp disk because i always
seem to loose or scratch them. but one thing i need to
know before i can do this to my xp disk is the datatype
that the disk is formated in. anyone know it?

As Joel said, just copy the CD. But, know that the CD has a boot image, so
you cannot copy the files to another media and then back to CD and get all
that is there.
