XP compatibility on Novell 3.12 network

Is there any reason why a terminal on a Novell 3.12
network would not work correctly if the terminal is
upgraded from win 98se to XP pro or home edition?

Will the file system of the upgraded terminal have to
remain a fat 32 format?

On your Win98se box, did you have the Novell Client installed? if yes then you should download the latest Novell client for XP and use that.

You should be able to run NTFS conversion tool to get your filesystem from Fat32 to NTFS.
