XP Pro & Novell Network

My company has just upgraded its network from Novell 4. something to Novell
6.5. I am running XP Pro. Under Novell 4. It was great I was able to use the
Novell client included with windows to sign on to the network. No problems
with anything. With Novell 6.5, at first MS's Novell Client worked. The
second day after we rebooted the server for a update, I could not sign on. I
now have to use Novel client 4.91 (I think) to sign on. I feel this has made
my life more difficult. Novell seems to be everywhere and running in the
background on my computer. I think it is even preventing me from updating my
WordPerfect Office programs to version 12.
Is there anyway I can get back to using MS's Novell Client with this Novell
network?
