XP cannot see programs after re-install

After problems on the PC, I re-installed XP instead of carrying out a
repair... i now cannot see any of my previously installed programs.

I cannot restore or uninstall windows(in add/remove programs ... i do
not see windows as an option)

How can i make XP see all the programs that i had previously
installed?

If you created a new registry for the system during the reinstall, instead of doing a Repair setup, the other apps need to be
reinstalled
