XP can access all PC's except for one!

Hi,
I have 4 XP Pro's (2 PC's, 2 Laptops) and one 98 PC on a workgroup.
All machines can see the other's in the network places, except for one
scenario.
Lets call one PC XP1, and one Laptop XP2 (both are on Service Pack 2).
XP2 keeps getting the "\\XP1 is not accessible. Please contact your system
administrator for......."
XP1 can get into XP2 and all the other computers. XP2 can see all the other
machines and get into them except for XP1.
I have tried:
Removing and rejoining the workgroup with XP2.
Added the NWLink/NetBIOS protocol on both machines.
Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP in the TCP/IP advanced settings.
Created the same user names on both computers.
Disabled the firewalls on both.
Disabling the Computer Browser service on each PC.

Pinging works fine and DNS is working fine.
There are no other errors showing up or in the event Logs.

I AM STUMPED!!!!!!!

Anyone know a way to sort this out?
Is there some app / control panel I can run to reset access rights?
I haven't disabled/enabled the file sharing on XP1, sould that do it?
Could on e of the other XP Pros be affecting it?
Help me, please?

Hi,
What does the "net view" command display?
On PC2 run cmd, type "net view PC1". Which error does it display?Do you use
Simple file sharing? You can also try running XP1 in selective mode:
1. Click Start / Run, type msconfig
2. On General tab, select Selective Startup
3. Click to remove Load Startup Items
4. Select Service tab
5.Select Hide All Microsoft SErvices
6. Click Disable All
7. Click OK and Reset

Robert,

Do some diagnostic work. Look at "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net
config server", and "net config workstation", from Computer 1, Computer 2, and
one other. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions
precisely (download browstat!):

The complete and exact error message might help here.

Make sure that you have logical connectivity. Then we'll look at Windows
Networking permissions.
