XP and network printing

I have an HP LaserJet 2550 with an HP Jetdirect server connected to it
via USB so I can use the printer over a network.

I can send a test print from the printer properties but it won't print
from any other software on the PC.

With OpenOffice I can send a print but nothing prints, on Opera it says
there is no printer installed. It has worked fine before and I have
uninstalled the printer and re-installed it.

Any other suggestions.

Hi,
Does your printer is Set as the default printer, try to see by going to your
Control Panel >> Printer and Fax and see if it is there and been set as the
Default printer.
Also try to see if your Firewall is blocking the Connection to your Printer.
