When you start to install it should give a choice to " custom "
install , so you only install what you wish .

I connected PC and printer via USB, then windows find new device and
installed HP USB printer driver. I can print. Its not clear, need I still HP
PCL6 Print Driver or can remove it?
There are shown few same printers in Printers and Faxes folder: 'HP LaserJet
3050 Series PCL 6' How to uninstall extra drivers correctly? HP drivers not
shown in Add/Remove program list.

I've set up a couple of these printers and I agree that the software
is bloated as h*ll. The setup process requires several reboots an the
messages that say "done" mean crap becasue it's just for that phase.

One the setup was really complete, the software ran like a champ, even
on slowish laptops and after the initial poor impression, I got to
like the model.

I suggest you install the entire kit, at least the first time. Be
patient. Don't take the CD out until you see that teh printer is
working for you.

Once it is running, you can see what the memory requirements are and
maybe turn off any running software you don't want.
