XLSX File Conversion

I have Excel 2007 and other users cannot open files that I send. I tried to
save the file with XLS as an extension but when I send the file, it shows up
as xlsx in Outlook. What can I do so others without 2007 can open the file?

Have your "others" go to Microsoft.com/downloads and download the
Compatability Pack. No more problems.

Did you just change the extension of the file, or Save As...> Excel 97-2003
File?

You need to do the latter.
