Wrong language on IE right click menu

AGV

Hi,

My computer was infected with a virus that is only
causing problems with IE 6.0. When I right click on web
page the right click menu shows all of the menu options
in some language other than English, I believe German or
Dutch. The 'search' title under the Tools menu is also in
the other language, the open dialog box as well as the
properties dialog box are also not in English. I have
checked the languages preferences under Internet Options
in IE and it is set to English. I have tried uninstalling
and then reinstalling IE in Win XP but XP does not really
let you uninstall it just hides the icons. I have also
looked through the registry but could not come up with
anything. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fix
this problem, I am sure their must be a registry value or
something and I just couldn't find it.

Thank You,

G. Vance

This really does not sound like a virus but I could be
wrong. Have you tried updating to IE 6 SP1a. Give it a try.
