wrong icons on Start Menu

For some reason I have lost the default icons for my email, Run, Search and
Help & Support. All I have now is a thumbnail views. If I change my Start
Menu to Windows Classic my icons appear. I've tried everything including
using system restore. This problem didn't appear until I uninstalled a
program called Stardock Theme manager.

Have you tried this? Right click on Start button > Properties >
Customize > Large icons.

I"m glad to say I've finally found the problem. I went into my registry and
deleted everything that had to do with "Stardock Theme Manager". Apparently
there uninstall doesn't completely uninstall there program and causes
problems with your start menu icons.
