Worst design fault in windows.

Cough pounded out on the keyboard:
No because we use a mouse these days.
Pint and click wysiwyg, itrs the modern way.

By that reply, it LOOKS like you entered it with a mouse! Or maybe you
never learned to type? Windows key-D is much quicker than taking a hand
off the keyboard and mouse clicking the shortcut in the QL toolbar, OR
clicking a spot on the Desktop.

And you've got it backwards. Keeping your hands on the keyboard and
using shortcuts is the quickest way to accomplish tasks. Taking your
hand off of it to use the mouse only slows one down.

For the first time in my life I am going to recommend that some move to
Linix.

Wrong most of the time i am only using the mouse.

Then point and click the SHOW DESKTOP button.
it's illogical and inconvienient, everthing else come to the top
when u click it.

Does that mean we don't have to listen to your whining any more? Huh?

I sincerely hope so.
You can't make a user interface as bad as windows accidently.

Maybe bestow Vista upon the Turkey, for it has window transparency, and to the Vista
Newsgroup the Lord can go.

Let me be the first to warn you to be careful to keep the door from
hitting you on yer ass on yer way out.

May you have fun wherever you decide to troll next.

When you click on the desktop it should be brought to the top (show
desktop).

How can a group of idiots get to design a major piece of software so badly?
They provided a method to do it. It's in the quicklaunch part of the
toolbar, labled, oddly enough, SHOW DESKTOP.

May you have fun whenever you show what a total retard you are.

It's a rubbish method, it is inconvienient and badly designed.
Actually design is the wrong word, it suggest some thought
went into it when clearly it didn't, just a few badly copied ideas.

I noticed he never offered up an OS that had that feature...

What does that have to do with anything? If no other OS has some
feature, then none should have it? That would be the end of progress.
sounds like a
hater to me - someone you will never please.

You mean he doesn't agree with you.

He has a valid point. It's not a huge point, fairly minor point,
actually, buy a valid one nonetheless. In Windows, if you click on
something, it gets the focus, which means that it comes to the top.
This doesn't happen with the desktop, which means it's a desing
inconsistency. It's valid point.

Hello "Lord Turkey Cough",

Try this: press the Windows Key + D

The letter D means "D)esktop"

Now that tip is worth the price of admission for today.
Everyone I've shown that key to loves it. It's surprising that so few people
know about it, but it's one of those keys you just can't live without once
you do know about it.

You can press it once to show your desktop instantly. You can press it again
to restore the windows.

And it's a toggle. Perfect. Where do I send your beer?
Hope that helps restore your faith in Microsoft's development team. (I
happen to love XP, so I'm biased.)

Hardly. They have done some good things and some awful ones. In the
beginning, they were inovative. Now, not so much. Outlook is about
the buggiest program ever written -- certainly far more bugs/$ of
revenue of all time. Word is also very buggy and riddled with design
inconsistencies. Apple is and OS/2 was a superior OS.

Maybe he can just use ESP to accomplish the task...the guy is
just spamming everyone.

So, if you don't like what he says and you have no good response, you
start name calling? He has a valid point.
