Some additional details about your setup would be useful. Is this Word
XP? If this is the case, Word XP has a well-known (and never really
solved to my knowledge) tendancy to require reinstalls. And if you
original intallation was done over a network which is no longer active,
you would get this message.

Fix the shortcut, right click on the icon and select
properties, then find target.

Or delete the shortcut and then find the WORD program file
(exe) and right click it and select create shortcut.
