Word document requests login details

Rich

I have saved an MS Word document in my website folder on
my computer. I have then created a hyperlink to this
document on my homepage. When I click the hyperlink when
viewing the website on the internet it asks for a login
and password. I presume this is my service provider login.
When I click cancel the word document opens.
Why is it asking for a password?

All updates need to be applied to your version of Office.

There is a bug in Word that causes this. All machines that try to access
these files need to have the service packs applied for their version of
office.

Hope this helps,
