Word 2003 with Vist stops working

I just recently loaded office 2003 pro (SR3)on a new windows vista machine.
After a number of days of using word I now get a message when I try to open
it that reads. Microsoft Office Word has stopped working. A problem caused
the program to stop working corectly. wilnows will close the program and
notify you if a solution is avaialble. Word never opens. All the other
office application work fine it is just word that fails. Any help to correct
this would be greatly appreciated.
