2007 Word Problems

When I double-click on a Word file to open it, Word opens, but the file isn't
there.

Then I've tried opening Word first and opening a file from the Open function
under the Microsoft Office button. This allows me to open a file, but then I
can't place my cursor anywhere on the page, and I can't make changes properly.

When I close the window, a notice pops up that says "Microsoft Office Word
has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I have received no notifications on how to fix the problem. I tried
uploading updates, but that didn't help.

Any suggestions, PLEASE???!!!

I can't offer you any solutions, but I have started experiencing this EXACT
problem today. In addition to the things you've listed, I also have the
inability to open two word documents up at the same time.
