Word 2003 - RIGHT MARGIN TRUNCATION - Unchangable

my company just upgraded me to office 2003. when i open previous MS Word
docs, the right hand margin, in front of my eyes, will shift to the left.
the ruler will not extend the right margin. result = the document only uses
2/3 of the available page width; both in "view" and in printed versions.
have tried everything to correct; including having IT remove/reinstall Office
2003.

discovered through an inadvertent post to MS Access group the answer. had to
go in under the track changes, and select 'final'. that did the trick.
thanks to the input from the Access group......cannot now seem to find that
post to pass along my thanks.
