HELP ME: Word has put in extra margin - I can't change it

Hi!

I'm in trouble: in addition to the normal 2 cm. of margin in my right
margin, Word have, unaccountably, put in some extra 3-4 cm. of margin, that I
can't seem to delete.
The extra margin doesn't appear on the 'ruler' in top - the ruler (which
shows the normal margin) stops, and then the extra margin appears og entails
that my text is pushed in to the middle of the page.

How can I return to the normal margin?

Please! Help me...

I must admit, I'm not totally sure what you mean (I'm danish and not that
good at english).

It's a large document and suddenly I just discovered that the right border
is too wide because it both has the normal margin and an extra piece of white
border, that I can't seem to change anywhere...

Are you in Track Changes mode?
If so (or not even), go to Tools, Options, Track Changes, at the bottom of
the dialog change the option for "Use Balloons" to "Never", OK.
This hopefully will reset the Margin in the view to what you expect.
Hope this helps

YES! You've just saved me and my dissertation - thank you so much.

I don't know what I would have done without your help.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Glad to help.
The setting is not a document one, so if you had sent your dissertation out
the review would not have seen it in this fashion but with their own settings.
All the best.
