Two probs.
1. I seem stuck with an asian language tacked onto my normal format/font
settiings. How do I get rid of it?

2. When I pull up a new word doc, there are marks on each corner used for
creating business cards, etc. How can I get rid of them? They seem to
supercede the Normal settings.

1. Try going to START->PROGRAMS->Microsoft Office Tools->Office Language
Settings and remove the language you don't need.

You could try running on the Office CD the Repair and Fix utility and see if
that will do it. And if that fails, then do a uninstall/reinstall of Office.

See “Margin marks or crop marks appear on each corner of the page when you
open a document in Word 2002 or in Word 2003â€
