Word 2000 won't run

Upgraded to XP Home recently and found a problem. I had a Word 97 version
on my computer and also upgraded it to Office 2000 for Small Business.
Now, I can get Excel, etc to work fine but Word will not start and makes
a reference to a Norton file (I have Norton 2004) I have tried
uninstalling Word and reinistalling but no luck. This all started with
Outlook Express not finding a spellchecker which now it can do. In other
words, all is well, OE has a spellchecker, I've updated to XP, Excel
works etc but I can't get Word to start. Any help?

Try disabling the "office plug-in" in Norton.

It should be under Options, Other, Misc.
