Won't run any games.

I've just bought a new computer with WinXP on it. But
have found that none of my games will load... at first I
though it was because i was trying to run really old
games like Dark Reign that was designe for Win98 back
when we were still using DirectX 3, but even knew games
like Fire Warrior wont run on my computer. I have all the
right drivers installed and DirectX 9... yet none of them
will load.. is this something that happens regularly with
XP?

Belinda, go into Help and Support and look for the information on
Compatibility Mode. The older type games usually run quite well when you
use it. There's also detailed information on the TechNet site here:
