With Office 2007, IE & OUTLOOK HANG using "send page by email"

Using Internet Explorer 7 to read a newspaper article, I click "print" to
get a simple format. Then I click "send page by email"; then I enter my
email address in "to"; then I click "send" and BOTH IE and Outlook2007 hang.
This still happens AFTER I carefully remove all images and links from the
page before clicking "send." I have to force both IE and Outlook to close.
When I reopen Outlook 2007, the email IS IN the outbox where it should be.
These steps worked correctly under Outlook2002. Installing Office 2007
broke my system.

did you make a new profile when you upgraded? is outlook open when you click
Send to?

Thank you for the quick reply.

I created a NEW profile which tested and verified itself. Now "send page as
email" asks which profile to use. The symptoms are the same as before.

Sending hangs whether or not Outlook is open. Under Outlook 2002 it did not
matter; the email was always sent (it would be in the outbox when I later
opened Outlook).

My profile ("Outlook") was under Start->Control Panel->Mail (not
Start->Control Panel->Users->Mail as the help file indicates). The email
accounts all appear to be in good order; they send and receive as they are
set to do.

I tried sending different kinds of web pages. ALL of them can be sent using
"send link by email" but even the plain ones cannot be sent using "send page
by email."

In one instance the web page became an ATTACHMENT to an email being
prepared.

I click "send page my email" and fill in the "to" field and click "send" get
the cursor:wait and see the "Emailing" window open. If I click on the close
window red "X" I see a popup "Microsoft Office Program Recovery; Attempting
to force Microsoft Outlook to close" and get an error message "Microsoft
Office Outlook has encountered a problem and cannot exit. We are sorry for
the inconvenience." Clicking on "end now" brings up the progress bar for a
"closing Outlook" pop-up with a forever-moving progress bar.

Next I open the Close Program Dialog where I see one copy of "emailing" with
two pages as the icon. That one never responds to "end now". I also see
one copy of "emailing" with the Outlook icon. That one DOES respond to "end
now" as it should, and the "emailing" window closes as it should. I get a
popup "The action cannot be completed." I click OK and Outlook opens
(WITHOUT the email in the outbox). The process sends two or three error
reports to Microsoft.
