Outlook 2007 - Send Link by E-Mail... Hangs

I have a new computer running XP Pro, IE7, & Outlook 2007. If I have Outlook
2007 is open, "Send Link by E-Mail..." seems to work.

If Outlook 2007 is not open, clicking on "Send Link by E-Mail..." hangs up
(no message box appears, Email message doesn't open, hour glass in IE7).
After this, Outlook 2007 won't open unless I go into Windows Task Manager and
find Outlook in the Processes and click End Process. It appears that Outlook
is trying to start but it hangs up.

The computer was set up using the File and Settings Transfer Wizard (old
computer was Win2k with Outlook XP).

Any thoughts?

I am having the exact same issue. However, it's a new Vista Ultimate
machine. I get the security dialog which I allow, and there is no hourglass.
Also, it's my wife's computer. The faster I can fix it, the better... ;)

If I have Outlook 2007 open and select "Send Link by E-Mail..." under Page in
IE7 (or try to email a picture in Vista by right clicking, selecting Sent To,
then Mail Recipient) Outlook opens a new email window and everything appears
to work fine.

However, if Outlook 2007 is not open when I click on "Send Link by
E-Mail..." (or try to email a file in Vista) nothing appears to happen (no
warning message appears and no Outlook email window opens). After this
occurs, Outlook 2007 won't open unless I go into Windows Task Manager, find
OUTLOOK.EXE in Processes and click End Process. It appears that Outlook is
trying to start but it hangs up.

I am running Vista, IE7, & Outlook 2007. Outlook is my default email handler.

I would appreciate any assistance I can get.

Thanks Franz! Unfortunately, I'm stuck with the issue because I have an
iPhone, but it's nice to know the source of the problem.

The solution is to remove Apple Mobile Device Support in Control Panel, but
if you have an iPod/iPhone you need to keep it and are stuck with the problem
until Apple does something about it.
