Wireless Optical Mouse Not Working

I have a Microsoft Wireless Mulitmedia Keyboard and Wireless Optical Mouse.
Both install and work fine on my Packard Bell PC, but only the keyboard will
work on my HP PC. Both PC's are running XP. On the HP PC the installation
goes fine and the keyboard works as usual, but the mouse will not work
whatever I do. Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Try clicking the small button on either your mouse of the receiver for the
mouse. This should put the mouse/receiver into 'find/locate' mode. After
this, your receiver should find your mouse.

Thanks for that Ryan. Although I have previously tried the solution you
suggested several times, without success, I thought that I would give it one
more go and this time the receiver picked up the mouse signal and it is now
working fine.
