Wireless network problem

D

David Anson

I have a Centrino laptop with an RJ45 as well as a wireless network.. I
have just installed a Netgear DG834G ADSL wireless network router and all
appears to be OK - the tray icon tells me I am connected and the signal
strength is excellent. Furthermore checking the network connection status it
shows that quite a number of packets have been sent and received over the 6
hours it has been connected.

However when I unplug the cable and try to do any network activity it claims
it can't access the network or the internet - plugging the cable back in
solves the problem. Any idea where I am going wrong?

TIA
