Wireless keyboard and mouse.

Have just installed Microsoft wireless optical mouse and keyboard. Mouse
works great very smooth, unfortunately the keyboard does not work. All the
keys are mixed up including the short cuts. Have gone back to old keyboard
for now. Any help.
