Wireless connection

Ok...I have both a desktop running XP, and a laptop running Vista. They are
both on the Magic Network which I have installed. The desktop connects using
a wireless USB adapter...the laptop an internal wireless card. The laptop
always finds the wireless signal with no problem. The desktop...well it's
hit or miss. When it's a miss, and it doesn't find it, I have to unplug the
USB wireless adapter, plus it right back in, and voila...it connects. My
question is why? I saw where someone else was having a problem *keeping* a
connection, and was told to change the settings in power management in
device settings. So I did that too, but my problem still exists. The
wireless connection icon says I have a *very good* connection...I just can't
figure out what the problem is. Any ideas? Thanks.

Something called Gigafast...but the same thing happened with my Trend USB
adapter.

I just tried the winsock repair...we'll see how it does. The wireless
connection *did* come back up after re-booting, but I'll have to see how it
does over the next week or so. Thanks to both of you.

Hosted on a porno site - do you really want people to trust a
questionable product of yours, hosted on a site where you've posted
links to porno for the world to see, where you've exposed little kids to
that filth?

I can't believe you're still trying to direct people to that porno site.
