My wireless (811.g) connection is working fine. The computer is a Lenovo 3000
C100 laptop running XP Home I can ping another machine from a terminal
window. I can not reach the net using either Firefox or IE,,,and my mail
client (Thunderbird) does not connect. The Firefox error is "Server not
found". IE is "The page cannot be displayed". Any suggestions much
apprecited...I have never seen this problem before. Thank you

Hello,

For starters make sure that the wireless router (I am assuming thats what
you have) has a proper connection to the ADSL/Cable modem and a proper WAN
side IP address. You might have access to the local machines on the network
but without a proper connection between the router and the modem, outside
internet connection would not be possible. Post some more info about the
network topography.

The router is a D-Link DI-524 with a working cable connection. The Lenovo is builtin wireless. I can reach the net using Winamp and stream audio with no problem. The 'Wireless Network Connection Status' window reports the status as 'connected' it names the correct network, speed is 48.0 Mbps, and signal strength is 'excellent'. I am really scratching my head on this one???
