is the Wired Ethernet LAN speed important factor when choose notebook?
Most new laptops have Ethernet LAN card speed 10/ 100 /1000 Mbps
But there is some good laptops which have just 10/100 Mbps Ethernet NIC - is
it enough?

Are you going to network the notebook? Are you going to transfer a lot of
data (GB) regularly among networked computers? If the answer is yes, a 1Gbps
network card definitely speeds up file copying. Keep in mind that your
switch/hub and other networked computers must also be 1Gbps.

Is your broadband connection speed anywhere near 100Mbps (or faster)? If
not, a 10/100 Mbps wired network card is more than sufficient. Wireless G or
N card will do the job as well.

No, I mean just for Internet use, not in local network tasks.

Very few wired internet connections get anywhere near 10M.

Where the 100/1000 becomes important is where you're connecting to a local
network running at gigabit speeds; if you're connected to a lower-speed
switch on that network, you will not exceed the capabilities of the switch.
