My broadband company (optonline) has boosted speeds in my area to 15 Mbps,
but I'm hovering about 5-6 Mbps. Their website detected that I was using a
base 10 ethernet card and need to purchase a base 100 card. The one I have is
a 3com 10/100 PCI card. Shouldn't this be sufficient to run the higher
speeds. Why doesn't it automatically give me the faster speeds? If I have
the right ethernet card, is it a cable I need or change some settings?
