WinXP system keeps rebooting.

Hi,

Recently, my WinXP Professional keeps on rebootingn (no
matter what option I choose .. Safe mode ... last known
good etc.). When I click on the icon to logon, it will
juz reboot the computer.

The latest change I've made is installing the .Net
framework.

Now, since it keeps on rebooting, I can't even uninstall
program or troubleshooting.

Would this be caused by a virus?

How should I go to troubleshoot and repair this?

thanks in advance,
jackling

Hi,
I have WinXP Home Edition and my system keeps rebooting
as well. I have tried to use Safe Mode, last known, etc.
I have also changed the boot sequence to boot from the CD
drive so that I can boot from the CD and it doesn't even
look at the CD drive. I am willing to reformat my hard
drive but I can't get the system to look at the CD drive
to do it.
I get a message saying that something is wrong with my
registry key. The message goes by so quickly that I
haven't been able to get the exact message.

Have anyone been able to correct this yet?
Thanks,
Sheila

You probably have a virus.
Have you run antivirus software? Do you have a firewall? Have you run a
3rd party utility to get rid of spyware and malware, such as Ad-aware,
Spybot or Pest Patrol?
