Reboot Looping

Without warning or hint of a problem, nothing new installed or removed, my
WinXP Home SP2 suddenly rebooted, then rebooted continuously without ever
getting past the WinXP splash screen. Could not get into Safe Mode. I
attempted a "Repair" function, but nothing changed, still rebooting in a
continuous loop.

So I bit the bullet, did a fresh reinstall and spent 3 days rebuilding my
system. Wham! Tonight my system suddenly did it all over again.
Once again, it invites me to select Last Known Good Configuration, but that
failed. Once again, Repair failed. Driving me nuts.

Suggestions? (I'm now working off my laptop.)

Turns out my motherboard developed a problem, unknown. I installed a
replacement MB and the computer came back to life normally. And surprise,
surprise, without the dreaded blue screen of death, just a simple
requirement that I re-activate my WinXP. Back in business.
