WinXP Pro asking for O2003 Product Key after Imaging?

Hi all,

I've cloned a workstation, and have imaged a new pc with the template
created. Windows XP Pro product key is copied and working fine, but I'm
having a problem with Office 2003 activation. The key for it is not copying
over and upon first use, it's asking for the product key.

Any way to get around this, or specify the key in the sysprep answer file?
The only article I found, allows for the Windows XP product key to be
specified, not the Office one.

Any help and all posts are very much appreciated!

The Microsoft Office 2003 Editions Resource Kit tools have been primarily
designed to serve the deployment scenarios found in organizations using volume
licensing programs. For this reason, you cannot use Microsoft Office 2003 Editions
Resource Kit tools, such as the Custom Installation Wizard, with a 2003 retail edition
of Microsoft Office, nor can you run Setup in administrative mode to create an administrative installation point with retail
packaged products. In addition, all retail editions require product
activation and do not include the bypass capability supported by licensed editions.

Hi Carey,

I do run a VL copy of Office 2003 and also XP Pro. The article you quoted
gives me some info on deployment through SMS, and installation, but says
little about my situation. Is there a way to provide the product key so that
it's not asked for upon first use?
