winxp and win2000/nt printing

Hi,
I have a problem with accessing a shared printer on a win
XP system from a win2000 and win nt portable pc. I can
access the printer from a win 98 pc.
when I try to install the printer via the wizard I can get
as far as the listing of the pc's on the network but
cannot select the printer on the XPmachine although the pc
is connected and logged on to the network.
Since the printer was previously connected to a win98 pc I
know I can access the printer, meaning I can print on that
printer (being a HP laserjet)

any ideas what I can do, I have searched the KB and the
problems in the newsgroup but none looked similar to mine.

Hi

i have tried the solution provided on this website and it
seems to wotk only I get an arror message that the system
does not recognize the sc command.

any help possibly in that area?
