WINS Server question

Hello,

I use Netbios names for connection of remote clients to a local server on a
TCP/IP network. The remote clients use a WINS server for Netbios over
TCP/IP name resolution.

If I shut down the local server, named SRVD, and rename another server so it
has the name SRVD, will the remote clients now connect to this new server
having the name SRVD?

New server need to register it's netbios name with WINS server first before
remote clients can locate this new server via it's Netbios name.
