WinMgmt

I searched the newsgroup for this problem and didn't find
it.

I have been running Windows 2000 on this computer for over
a year. In the past few days, everytime I boot the
computer, I get several error dialogue boxes that say
something like "WinMgmt.exe has generated errors and has
been shut down. You must restart the program".

1. What is this program? I'm not starting it explicitly.
2. If I want to restart it, how do I do it?
3. Is there a problem with not restarting it? (So far
there doesn't seem to be.)
4. How can I get this new behavior to stop?

I have been getting the same problem. I checked out the
error codes from the logs and they say to report the error
to Microsoft Technical Support but that will cost you if
you do. They then give the option of checking the
newsgroups. So if you manage to get a reply I would be
grateful if you could pass it on.
