WindowsXP SP3 can't connect to Skype with Panasonic phone

WindowsXP SP3 installed smoothly. However, when I now try to use my Panasonic
phone and Panasonic's USB adapter to connect to Skype, I get a message that
Skype is already in use. Also, when I quit the USB adapter program, the
adaper does not shut down. Everything worked very well prior to inatalling
SP3. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Contact the manufacturer of said product, report the issue and ask for a
resolution.

It seems to me that if he uninstalled SP3 and everything worked than problem
is SP3. Caught between a rock and a hard place.

Will do; thank you for the suggestion.

While the installation of SP3 may have caused the issue - SP3 is unlikely to
change and Microsoft is unlikely to put out a patch to correct a problem
with a unique piece of hardware when it is/always has been/always will be
the manufacturer's of each products responsibility to support their product
in whatever OSes they choose to.
