Windows XP won't let me print...HELP!

I just downloaded Windows XP and for some reason my
printer does now get the signal to print.
The printer problem says code 291 disabled firmware

What can I do to correct this? Please IM or e-mail me at

You can't download Windows XP. Do you mean you just installed it? If
yes, did you do a clean install (where you formatted the hard drive) or
did you install over an older operating system? What is the make and
model of your printer? Check on its mftr.'s website to be sure the
printer is compatible with XP and to download drivers for it.
