Go to Windows Update.
On the left side menu, select Administrator Options.
On the next page, in the first paragraph, select the Windows Update Catalog
link.
Select your operating system from the menu and click the Search Button.
On the next page, select one of the group items, pick the items you want to
download by clicking the ADD Button. When you are finished selecting, click
the Go to Download Basket link. On the last page, select a folder on the
hard drive for the downloaded files and click the Download Now Button.

sorry you cant.

This is incorrect. Again, please quote some of the original post for
clarity. The question was whether or not Windows Update patches could
be saved to be burned onto a cd. The correct answer is "Yes". Go to
Windows Update (easiest way is from the Tools>Windows Update menu in
IE) and on the left side of the page click Administrator Options. Now
on the right side of the page you will get information about how to do
what you want and links to the Windows Update Catalog. On the left side
of the page (where you clicked "Administrator Options") there is also a
link to Windows Update FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions).

Hope that helped,

Malke
