Windows XP updates not installing

I need Help!! Tryed to do Windows XP updates, the status shows updated but
when reboots, and I look for new updates I still mave the same ones. I need
SP1 to install my new USB2 card but cant seem to be able to update....

Please Help!!!!
 
Do you get an error? In Windows Explorer, help, about Windows, does it say Service
Pack 1?
